Volunteer Program
For over five years, VISIT Milwaukee has successfully offered our 300+ volunteers to assist our clients in many ways. These volunteers have an unbridled enthusiasm for Milwaukee and enjoy welcoming visitors to their city. They also have a wealth of knowledge about Milwaukee's history and culture and our member restaurants, hotels, area transportation and tourist attractions.
VISIT Milwaukee volunteers are available to our clients to assist with a variety of services such as:
- Assist attendees with directions at off-site events.
- Assist in registration area by handing out badges and other materials.
- Filling registration bags.
- Meet and greet at the convention center.
- Meet and greet at hotels.
- Meet and greet at the airport.
- Serve as tour guides.
While the volunteer services are provided to our clients at no cost, we ask that your consideration could be given to providing refreshments to the volunteers while working and covering the cost of the volunteer's parking.
What satisfied clients are saying:
"Although many wonderful things stand out about our meeting in Milwaukee, one thing was exceptionally noteworthy - the use of the Bureau's volunteers. These volunteers were. . . in all areas of the convention center during our Annual National Convention; wherever you turned there was someone there to help you out. This is very unusual, many cities don't have this benefit."

"Thank you for contributing to the success of the Wisconsin State Reading Association's 2003 Annual Convention. Your volunteers were marvelous!"
